Astadia is seeking a tax professional who will be responsible for completing projects under all assigned areas of US federal and state tax compliance and IRS and state audit defense for the purpose of ensuring compliance with federal, state and local tax laws, reporting requirements and tax payment requirements and developing tax strategies to minimize the tax burden to the company. In addition, this individual will work in conjunction with the company’s International Tax Experts hired by Astadia. He/she will possess a strong work ethic and will provide the CFO with timely and accurate financial information as requested. The candidate will possess strong communication and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively handle several tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently, and demonstrate good judgment and decision making skills. REQUIREMENTS: Five (5) years of full-time paid experience in a work environment dealing with corporate tax matters; Experience in Big 4 public accounting firms is preferred; Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA and Masters of Taxation are preferred. The individual will review and analyze customer agreements and determine appropriate revenue recognition, particularly related to the complexity involved with a professional services solutions business. Creation of internal controls and processes for certain business. Ensure calculation and payment of revenue is made timely and accurately for properties in assigned area. Ensure related general ledger accounts are reconciled and provide variance explanations when necessary for financial and management reporting. Assist with process and system improvements.
