Meet our leadership team

Scott Silk

Chairman and CEO

As Chairman and CEO, Scott Silk provides Astadia’s vision and direction. Working with our executive team and business leaders, Scott sets our business agenda, implements strategy and guides our growth efforts.

Scott joined Astadia in 2016, bringing three decades of experience and noteworthy success as a leader in the technology space. Most recently, Scott was President and CEO of SeeWhy, a Massachusetts-based leader in real-time marketing and business intelligence solutions company acquired by SAP in 2015.

Previously, Scott was President and CEO of Action Engine Corp. where he established the company’s mobile application platform as a leader in the market and led the company’s eventual sale to Mobui Corp. Before that, he was General Manager at ePresence and helped establish the company as a leader in the Identity Management segment, increased shareholder value by more than 100 percent, and was instrumental in the sale of the company’s security and identity management services to Unisys Corp. Among other roles, Scott also served as President of North American Operations and Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Gentia Software, Inc. where he helped double the company’s North American software revenues to $20 million.

Scott received a bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing from The Max M. Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University and his MBA from Baldwin Wallace University.

Mark Piquette

Senior Vice President and General Manager

As Senior Vice President and General Manager, Mark Piquette is responsible for driving the effective operation and healthy execution of Astadia’s overall business, in addition to strategic leadership for our enterprise and cloud practices, the service delivery teams and the project management office.

Mark joined Astadia in 2016, bringing over 35 years of sales leadership experience in both established and startup technology companies, including large account management, sales and channel organization development, management and team building, and operational excellence.

Most recently, Mark was Executive Vice President and General Manager at Hardware Group, a technical solutions and services provider where he established corporate governance and was responsible for driving scale and revenue growth. Previous to that, Mark was Vice President and General Manager at xG Technology, responsible for operations, process, policies and pricing. His prior roles in senior leadership include President of Sales and Services at Data Capture Solutions, Vice President and General Manager for North America Services of Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Solutions organization, and Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Unisys / ePresence.

Mark has held senior sales and services management positions with @stake, Cabletron/Enterasys Networks, NEC Computer Systems Division, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Ascom Timeplex. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Management and Marketing from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island.

Tim Moynihan

Senior Vice President of Sales

Tim Moynihan is Astadia’s Senior Vice President of Sales, responsible for driving revenue growth with new and existing clients through direct sales across the company’s entire portfolio of enterprise and cloud services.

Tim joined Astadia in 2016 with more than 35 years of technology sales leadership experience, responsible for driving revenue growth and market share gains at Fortune 100 companies as well as venture funded start-ups. He came to Astadia from xG Technology, a developer of cognitive software defined wireless communications systems, where he served as the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Alliances. Prior to that, Tim was at Pivot 3, a provider of hyper converged IT infrastructure. Past positions also include nearly 10 years at Symbol Technologies, later acquired by Motorola, where he was first the Senior Director of Transportation and Logistics and later the Vice President and GM of Enterprise Sales and Systems.

Tim has also held sales management roles at Intermec (now part of Honeywell), Norand, and Comtech Mobile Data. He is a certified Miller Heiman Strategic Solution instructor and holds an MBA from Illinois State University.

Michelle Simpson
Michelle Simpson

Chief Financial Officer

Michelle Simpson is Astadia’s Chief Financial Officer, responsible for leading all financial activities and ensuring their alignment with the company strategy. She also oversees the HR, Legal, IT, and Facilities teams.

Michelle joined Astadia in 2014, bringing a strong background in professional services organizations, to work with the executive team in driving strategic business results through enhanced financial metrics, operating systems, and business analytics. Michelle partnered with multiple functional teams to revamp several of the company’s operational and reporting processes resulting in increased utilization of resources and improved project profitability. Her focus on aligning finance and operations has accelerated growth, enhanced bottom line performance and significantly improved working capital.

Prior to joining Astadia, Michelle was Director of Real Estate Accounting at Regency Centers where she provided leadership and direction to all aspects of the company’s financial management, accounting, and financial reporting. While at Regency, Michelle was appointed as project leader for the successful implementation of five large scale technology/operational efficiency projects leading diverse teams and building strategic alliances with stakeholders. She began her career as an auditor with KPMG.

Michelle earned a master’s and bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Project Management Professional.

John Dandeneau

Vice President of Business and Corporate Development

John Dandeneau is Astadia’s Vice President of Business and Corporate Development, responsible for the planning and execution of partner strategies that drive lead generation, sales and company growth.

John joined Astadia in 2016 with more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and delivery of product and service offerings. Most recently he held a number of senior roles at Zerve, Inc., a SaaS provider in the travel industry. There since 2008, he was National Sales Manager, Head of Sales and Account Management, and most currently the Head of Content and Syndication, responsible for key functions of Zerve’s B2C offerings including database content, performance of the cloud-based B2C platform and building a partner distribution network. As Head of Sales and Account Management, John increased Zerve’s client base by over 100 percent and maintained annual client retention over 95 percent.

Previously John was a Regional Sales Manager for Namescape Corporation, a software manufacturer of web-based tools for Microsoft’s Active Directory & Exchange. There he set the company record for single month sales, established processes to improve pipeline predictability, repeatability, and visibility, and also established the company’s partnership with Microsoft. John also previously worked for ePresence / Banyan, initially as a Field Systems Engineer, then Solutions Architect and moving into management roles including Director of the Microsoft Practice and Director of Strategic Alliances. There he led and sold the company’s second largest consulting services deal and led the company to becoming one of Microsoft’s top U.S. partners.

John has held prior roles also with The World Bank, the U.S. Agency for International Development, Integration Specialists, Inc. and was a commissioned officer with the U.S. Air Force for six years. John’s bachelor’s degree in Management Science/Decision Support Systems is from Virginia Tech.

Vice President, Cloud Solutions

Steve Lack is Astadia’s Vice President, Cloud Solutions responsible for Astadia’s Cloud Strategy, Partnerships, and Cloud offerings portfolio

Steve joined Astadia in the winter of 2016 from HCL Technologies where he was Customer Advocacy Head for many large HCL Infrastructure Services clients. His main responsibility was to bring innovative solutions to HCL’s substantial customer base while staying a step ahead in a continually evolving technical space.

Steve is a veteran of more than 25 years in the technology business, having been responsible for exponential revenue growth in multiple industries and new markets. Prior to HCL, Steve was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Solutions for DecisionOne where he was responsible for driving significant change in their service offerings. Steve was the Vice President of Infrastructure Services and Head of Strategic Alliances for CSS Corp, one of Amazon Web Service’s earliest adopters and resellers. He has been the Global Vice President of Sales for the $140M Infrastructure Services Unit of Mahindra Satyam. In that role, he was responsible for leading the Global Infrastructure Services sales team, as well as spearheading the company’s relationships with other software and service providers.

Steve has also held senior positions with Unisys, InfoClarus (a mobile software startup), Nortel Networks, Compaq, and Digital Equipment Corporation. He has been involved in the sales and delivery of several multi-million dollar IT consulting projects at some of the world’s largest financial, healthcare, and manufacturing companies.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

David MacSwain
David MacSwain

Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy

David MacSwain is Astadia’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy and is responsible for leading the Marketing and Strategy of the company that drives alignment, lead generation and company growth.

David joined Astadia as a consultant in the winter of 2016 and full time in the spring of 2017. He brings with him over 30 years of IT experience in a wide range of positions within the commercial and federal government industries. He has worked with Fortune 500 companies information software systems. He became so good at selling software that companies asked him to create new products and services for these accounts.

In his previous role, David was the Worldwide Vice President of Product Marketing at Software AG. He helped lead the company to create open and portable products, by making it popular operating systems. David also was recruited by a Mid-Atlantic private equity firm to become CEO of a B2B eCommerce software company. Moving this company from 6 employees to more than 300, with annual revenues north of $40mm, the company was an attractive acquisition property. Prior to an IPO, a leading supply chain software company stepped in and acquired Dave’s company. After identifying a market opportunity helping companies to automatically convert their applications portfolio from proprietary programming languages and databases, to Java and SQL, Dave started a new software company that was focused on this challenge. This new company went on to build the product, and acquire its first few customers, when the largest vendor in the legacy modernization category acquired the company in 2006, and began a worldwide rollout.

His passion lies with Legacy Modernization systems and applications including Unisys (COBOL and MAPPER) and IBM systems. Since there are so many approaches to application modernization, including to reuse, rewrite or replace, he enjoys understanding your requirements and migrating you to a solution that works for your organization.

Scott Kitlinski
Scott Kitlinski

AVP of Managed Services

Scott Kitlinski is Astadia’s Associate Vice President of Managed Services, responsible for working with business and IT leaders to ensure our services meet client needs to both solve problems and to leverage the opportunities presented via the ever evolving technology landscape.

Scott joined the Astadia in 2017 with over 26 years of IT services and consulting experience. In his former role as VP of Services of Spade Technology, he assisted small and mid-sized businesses and provided them with benefits and advantages of technology enabled capability and business alignment. His priority was to provide his customers a complete portfolio of IT department services without the stress and hassle of hiring an internal staff. Before this role, he was also a vCIO and worked with a diverse set of small and mid-sized clients to create an IT strategy closely aligned to their vision and business goals.

In addition to his Services leadership, Scott also was the Vice President of Global Practices for Zensar Technologies. He led a team of professional and managed services through established strategy and made them accountable for all aspects of global practices. He did this by focusing on data center, end user computing, security and compliance, and remote services. He was recognized as a leader within the company’s Executive Management Team (EMT).

In his tenure, he has held multiple CIO roles for companies such as Spade Technology, Abaqus, Digitas and ePresence where he directed marketing, practice development, client relationship management, and consulting management. His passion lies with coming to work every day with the goal of enabling his team for opportunities to make customers and their businesses their absolute best.
