Meet our leadership team

Scott Silk

Chairman and CEO

As Chairman and CEO, Scott Silk provides Astadia’s vision and direction. Working with our executive team and business leaders, Scott sets our business agenda, implements strategy and guides our growth efforts.

Scott joined Astadia in 2016, bringing three decades of experience and noteworthy success as a leader in the technology space. Most recently, Scott was President and CEO of SeeWhy, a Massachusetts-based leader in real-time marketing and business intelligence solutions company acquired by SAP in 2015.

Previously, Scott was President and CEO of Action Engine Corp. where he established the company’s mobile application platform as a leader in the market and led the company’s eventual sale to Mobui Corp. Before that, he was General Manager at ePresence and helped establish the company as a leader in the Identity Management segment, increased shareholder value by more than 100 percent, and was instrumental in the sale of the company’s security and identity management services to Unisys Corp. Among other roles, Scott also served as President of North American Operations and Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Gentia Software, Inc. where he helped double the company’s North American software revenues to $20 million.

Scott received a bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing from The Max M. Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University and his MBA from Baldwin Wallace University.

Mark Piquette

Senior Vice President and General Manager

As Senior Vice President and General Manager, Mark Piquette is responsible for driving the effective operation and healthy execution of Astadia’s overall business, in addition to strategic leadership for our enterprise and cloud practices, the service delivery teams and the project management office.

Mark joined Astadia in 2016, bringing over 35 years of sales leadership experience in both established and startup technology companies, including large account management, sales and channel organization development, management and team building, and operational excellence.

Most recently, Mark was Executive Vice President and General Manager at Hardware Group, a technical solutions and services provider where he established corporate governance and was responsible for driving scale and revenue growth. Previous to that, Mark was Vice President and General Manager at xG Technology, responsible for operations, process, policies and pricing. His prior roles in senior leadership include President of Sales and Services at Data Capture Solutions, Vice President and General Manager for North America Services of Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Solutions organization, and Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Unisys / ePresence.

Mark has held senior sales and services management positions with @stake, Cabletron/Enterasys Networks, NEC Computer Systems Division, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Ascom Timeplex. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Management and Marketing from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island.

Tim Moynihan

Senior Vice President Business Development

Tim Moynihan is Astadia’s Senior Vice President of Business Development and is responsible for the planning and execution of partner strategies that drive lead generation, sales and company growth.

Tim joined Astadia in 2016 with more than 35 years of technology sales leadership experience, responsible for driving revenue growth and market share gains at Fortune 100 companies as well as venture funded start-ups. He came to Astadia from xG Technology, a developer of cognitive software defined wireless communications systems, where he served as the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Alliances. Prior to that, Tim was at Pivot 3, a provider of hyper converged IT infrastructure. Past positions also include nearly 10 years at Symbol Technologies, later acquired by Motorola, where he was first the Senior Director of Transportation and Logistics and later the Vice President and GM of Enterprise Sales and Systems.

Tim has also held sales management roles at Intermec (now part of Honeywell), Norand, and Comtech Mobile Data. He is a certified Miller Heiman Strategic Solution instructor and holds an MBA from Illinois State University.

David MacSwain
David MacSwain

Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy

David MacSwain is Astadia’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy and is responsible for leading the Marketing and Strategy of the company that drives alignment, lead generation and company growth.

David joined Astadia as a consultant in the winter of 2016 and full time in the spring of 2017. He brings with him over 30 years of IT experience in a wide range of positions within the commercial and federal government industries. He has worked with Fortune 500 companies information software systems. He became so good at selling software that companies asked him to create new products and services for these accounts.

His passion lies with Legacy Modernization systems and applications including Unisys (COBOL and MAPPER) and IBM systems. Since there are so many approaches to application modernization, including to reuse, rewrite or replace, he enjoys understanding your requirements and migrating you to a solution that works for your organization.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Scott Kitlinski
Scott Kitlinski

CIO and VP of Managed Services

In his role as Astadia’s Vice President of Managed Services, Scott Kitlinski is responsible for working with business and IT leaders to ensure our services meet client needs to both solve problems and to leverage the opportunities presented via the ever evolving technology landscape. As Astadia’s CIO, Scott deals with many of the same issues our clients face and leverages our core services.

Scott joined the Astadia in 2017 with over 26 years of IT services and consulting experience. In his former role as VP of Services of Spade Technology, he assisted small and mid-sized businesses and provided them with benefits and advantages of technology enabled capability and business alignment. His priority was to provide his customers a complete portfolio of IT department services without the stress and hassle of hiring an internal staff. Before this role, he was also a vCIO and worked with a diverse set of small and mid-sized clients to create an IT strategy closely aligned to their vision and business goals.

In his tenure, he has held multiple CIO roles for companies such as Spade Technology, Abaqus, Digitas and ePresence where he directed marketing, practice development, client relationship management, and consulting management. His passion lies with coming to work every day with the goal of enabling his team for opportunities to make customers and their businesses their absolute best.

Steve Lack
Steve Lack

Vice President, Cloud Solutions

Steve Lack is Astadia’s Vice President, Cloud Solutions responsible for Astadia’s Cloud Strategy, Partnerships, and Cloud offerings portfolio.

Steve joined Astadia in the winter of 2016 from HCL Technologies where he was Customer Advocacy Head for many large HCL Infrastructure Services clients. His main responsibility was to bring innovative solutions to HCL’s substantial customer base while staying a step ahead in a continually evolving technical space.

Steve is a veteran of more than 25 years in the technology business, having been responsible for exponential revenue growth in multiple industries and new markets. Prior to HCL, Steve was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Solutions for DecisionOne where he was responsible for driving significant change in their service offerings. Steve was the Vice President of Infrastructure Services and Head of Strategic Alliances for CSS Corp, one of Amazon Web Service’s earliest adopters and resellers. He has been the Global Vice President of Sales for the $140M Infrastructure Services Unit of Mahindra Satyam. In that role, he was responsible for leading the Global Infrastructure Services sales team, as well as spearheading the company’s relationships with other software and service providers.

Steve has also held senior positions with Unisys, InfoClarus (a mobile software startup), Nortel Networks, Compaq, and Digital Equipment Corporation. He has been involved in the sales and delivery of several multi-million dollar IT consulting projects at some of the world’s largest financial, healthcare, and manufacturing companies.

Allison Hinsche
Allison Hinsche

General Counsel

Alison Hinsche is Astadia’s General Counsel of global IT services with overall responsibility for day-to-day legal operations. She is a trusted advisor to executive leadership, business managers and individual contributors.

Alison joined Astadia in May 2016, bringing with her many years of legal and management expertise. Her leadership and direction over all legal operations allows her to play a critical role in the organization. Her responsibilities include drafting and reviewing all general corporate contracts, including, without limitation, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), NDAs/confidentiality agreements, vendor agreements, supplier agreements, marketing agreements, employment agreements, human resources legal documentation as well as technology and software licensing, data privacy and security contracts.

Prior to joining Astadia, Alison was the Managing Consultation Attorney for Lawyer ASAP where she evaluated and advised clients on legal strategies and options in the areas of Bankruptcy, Real Estate Transactions and Litigation, Trusts and Estates, Criminal and Family Law with an emphasis on Foreclosure Defense.
Alison received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Indiana University Bloomington and her law degree from Southwestern University School of Law. She is admitted to the State Bars of California, Illinois and Florida. Alison is a high achiever and quickly became a critical player in Astadia’s daily legal operations.

Nelson Knowles
Nelson Knowles

Vice President, Finance

Nelson Knowles is Astadia’s Vice President of Finance, responsible for leading all financial activities and ensuring their alignment with the company strategy.

Nelson joined Astadia in 2014, bringing a wealth of experience in the building and finance sectors. His accounting and business administration skill set positions him to play a critical role in the organization. He started off as the Lead Project Financial Analyst where he quickly became proficient in Astadia’s engagement information systems where he developed superior engagement management and economics. Nelson then got promoted to Director of Project Finances as adjunct to CFO, influencing business strategy and reporting metrics. He partnered with delivery teams to manage each client engagement from concept to completion. He quickly became a key player in increasing Astadia accountability and client service results.

Prior to joining Astadia, Nelson was the CFO for J. Vinton Schafer; a construction management firm where he lead many teams and projects. One of his most notable projects was when he orchestrated initial computerization of field (remote) operations, including transition from mainframe to networking backbone. Aside from improved operational efficiencies, communications and access to real-time data, the upgrade dramatically improved the company’s project management abilities and significantly differentiated the firm from capabilities of the competition.
