Assembler to COBOL

The nature of IBM mainframe Assembler, and the UNISYS MASM language on the ClearPath OS 2200 platform, is that the complexity of these Assembler technologies will need to be worked by hand, without the benefit of automated transformation technologies, in order to get from Assembler source code, to a more modern language. Many shops will prefer to bring all source code to a common language platform, like COBOL, but a more powerful language like JAVA or C#.NET may be a more appropriate selection.
