Boston, MA— April 25, 2023 — Astadia, the largest and fastest growing mainframe to cloud migration and modernization company, announced it has hired Dave Parent as its new Chief Financial Officer. This is Astadia’s second strategic hire in recent days, as the firm expands its leadership team of top-tier executives to accommodate the organization’s rapid growth.

Parent has over 25 years of financial leadership experience in both public and private technology companies. Most recently, he spent eight years at Brooks Automation, during which time the company’s market capitalization grew over elevenfold, from $0.7 billion to $8 billion.

Parent held Divisional CFO roles at Brooks where he participated in various financial oversight and M&A activities, including the $3B sale of the semiconductor business to PE firm TH Lee Partners.

Prior to working at Brooks, Parent served as the CFO of three VC-backed technology companies in the Boston area: Integral Access, Aegis Lightwave and Laser Light Engines. At those organizations he was responsible for overseeing finance and administrative functions, raising capital, and managing M&A activities. He began his career in various accounting and finance roles at National Semiconductor, a publicly traded chip manufacturer.

“Dave brings a broad set of skills to Astadia,” said Scott G. Silk, Chairman and CEO of Astadia. “He has seen the world through the eyes of an aggressive growth startup, but he also understands what it’s like to manage financial operations in a publicly traded company. Just as importantly, he has solid experience in mergers & acquisitions; Dave understands how to grow an organization, build lasting business value, and generate strong returns for investors.”
